A native of the Bronx New York Santiago was born into the home of a traditional Puerto Rican family. Being that his father was a missionary by an early age Santiago's eyes experienced a natural vision and a taste of a multi-cultural spiritual world. Santiago laughs as he gestures "Life itself is only here for a moment; embrace it with all your heart, soul and smile as it punches you in the face".

At an early age Santiago was on stage acting in local church plays. Roles that ranged from the book of Genesis down to Revelation. From playing the good kid to the evil child Santiago's energy on stage was always captivating. Moving forward to his college years Santiago embraced challenging roles that tested his abilities to speak certain dialects such as British, Italian, and classical theater. Ranging on stage from Shakespeare to contemporary theater, and Spanish speaking roles. Santiago proved that the decade of time he spent performing in his mothers church plays truly gifted him with a natural ability to perform at any given moment.

The move from Ohio to California was a daring step for Santiago, but he knew in order to full fill an inner desire it had to happen. Transferring into the film program at the Academy of Arts University. He got to pleasure to study under the care of the lovely Diane Baker. She challenged him to work, work, work. Stay in front of the camera as much as you possibly can until it becomes 2nd nature for you, and a natural part of who you are. By his second semester Santiago worked in over 34 student films. By his 3rd term in the acting program Santiago gained a reputation for be a hard working, dedicated actor that got the job done with no complaints. Without regards to the sacrifice of student film making. Santiago continued to act in spite of the upsets and dis-functional moments he experienced with student directors. By the end of his studies in only four semesters Santiago had acted in well over 67 student films, 12 independent films and over a dozen spec commercials. This was enough to make the transition to Los Angeles.

Currently active in the Hollywood area Santiago continues to maintain a steady work ethic. With the same passion for film making now Santiago enjoys being a part of the entire process of film making. But without a doubt his passion lies in front of the lens and it's were we love to see him. Keep your eyes out for this hard working mid-western guy.

Aside from modeling and acting, Santiago K. Marrero loves movies and the theatre. In his free time he enjoys TV, swimming, hiking, snowboarding, and working out . Santiago's future plans include traveling and hopefully working in Los Angeles, Seattle, New York, Chicago and London.
